INFORMATION ON PRACTICE DESIGN:

Cosmopolitan Dental, LLC was conceptualized and built as a lease fit out in a Class A office building located in Marlton, NJ. The project was completed in August 2010 as a tribute to perhaps one of the greatest city of the world...New York City. Cosmopolitan is defined as "A city, place or person that embraces its multicultural demographics". People always think of New York City as the ultimate "melting pot" or cosmopolitan city. Therefore, this very definition is synonymous with our practice philosophy in which we treat everyone of all diversity with honesty, respect, sincerity, and courteous service in a harmonious modern facility.

The building was built in 1986 and is located approximately 2 miles from the Philadelphia interchange of the NJ Turnpike in Southern New Jersey. We moved from the previous location across the street, incorporated and named the practice to Cosmopolitan Dental, LLC. It is located on the first floor facing directly at a major intersection. Since then, the building has undergone an extensive renovation in Spring 2012.

The design concept was inspired by a New York City penthouse suite reminisce of the great residential buildings of Manhattan such as 15 Central Park South, Trump International, Time Warner Center and the multiple super tall towers sprouting up on West 57th Street's Billionaire's Row. As you walk through the front door, you are surrounded by a comfortable décor that is uniquely contemporary chic. A 60-inch flat screen and 400 gallon fresh water fish tank are accented by multi-colored LED lighting. This tank symbolizes the tranquility of Battery Park City at the southernmost end of Manhattan and the gateway to the Atlantic Ocean. As you walk “north” into the clinical area, the front reception area is called the "Financial District" where patients schedule appointments and settle financial matters. "Broadway" is the main corridor that runs from the south to the north end of the office. Treatment rooms are named after neighborhoods such as "Little Italy", "Chinatown", “Soho”, “Gramercy" and “Midtown”. The names are etched in glass below each sconce. At the end of the “Broadway” corridor, you'll come to “Central Park South” cross street. The "Central Park" treatment room is at the center, and the "Upper West Side" and "Upper East Side" treatment rooms to the left and right respectively. The huge windows that envelop some of the treatment areas do indeed feel like those in a high-rise penthouse overlooking Central Park. The corridor has a monochromatic color scheme. It seems like you are walking to your room at the Sofetil with its chrome and black Cosmopolitan sconces and horizontal black ceiling beams. The walls are decorated with custom artwork with New York City scenes that were specifically designed for this project.

Of course, New York City is famous for its hip hotel bars. With this in mind, we designed the sterilization area to resemble a trendy Manhattan Happy Hour hangout. Ultra contemporary red glossy cabinetry, mosaic tiles, glass pendant lighting and quartz countertops accent the area. The backsplash consists of high tech aluminum sheets called Chemetal "fireworks"; an idea that was conceived after visiting Tomorrowland at the Magic Kingdom. So cool and casual…you may want to order a tall Cosmopolitan!
